Mama's Little Baker

I started to make pancakes for Ariel for breakfast this morning; I'd measured the flour into the bowl when she wanted me to pick her up, saw it, and said "help!" (She got to help her Grammy make bread when we were out there last month.) So I pulled a chair up to the counter, stood her on it, and let her help me put the measured ingredients into the bowl, and then help stir it up.

When it was time to cook them she wanted to help with that, too, even though I kept telling her the stove and griddle were hot. So I took an empty clean sherbet container, put some flour in it, put a spoon in it, and let her stir that up while I cooked our pancakes. She spilled just a little, and the rest went back into the flour canister.

Next time I'll have to remember to have the camera ready so I can take a picture of her stirring the batter!
