A, B, C, D, E, F, G...

Yesterday I was washing dinner dishes when I thought I heard Ariel say "hair." (Since my "foot-long hairs," as Greg calls them, end up all over the house, Ariel now says "hair" when she sees any so that I will pick them up and throw them away. She doesn't like them touching her when they're not attached to my head.)

So I looked down, but she was holding up the letter "Y" from her LeapFrog Word Whammer; she was saying "Y"! Then she grabbed the letters "Q" and "E" and told me what they are, saying "coo" for "Q." :o)

We also have the LeapFrog Phonics Radio which she plays with a lot; several nights ago I was pointing to all the letters and asking her what they were. She knows most of them, if not by name then by the sound they make! (She's known the letters "A," "B," and "C" for a while now, because they're on the covers of her three ABC board books, but I didn't realize until then that she knows other letters.)

Here's a picture of Ariel in August 2007:

...and in August 2006! ;o)
