Rocky Mountain High

We went to Grand Junction for a family wedding a couple weekends ago, and boy, was it a busy weekend! First, there was the wedding and reception, and then a family breakfast the next morning. The Mesa County Fair was happening, and we went to that for a couple hours, after the breakfast. Then dinner at my grandma's house that night, and home the next day!

Ariel at the reception:
Having fun at the fair (I took her on the carousel twice; she really liked that.):

She enjoyed walking up and down the aisle of our train car on the way home.

Ariel says several new words now, as a result of the trip! "Train," "dance" (she may have said that at least once before we left... I can't remember, but she said it a lot that weekend!), "car," "see?," "out," "bug," and "switch" :o) She kept saying "train" and "see?" on the way home. And while we were waiting for the train in the station next to Pufferbelly Station Restaurant, she'd decided she'd had enough of her umbrella stroller and said, "Me, out!"

Congratulations once again to the newly-weds, and thanks for giving us a reason to get out there this summer!

I am so jealous that you have been to Grand Jct! I'm sure it has changed a lot since I left. Wow, I can't believe how fast Ariel is growing up! And how skinny you are, she must keep you busy. Talking about Pufferbelly is making me really miss their Hobo breakfast! Thanks Jessa, now I will not be able to think of anything else today!

I've eaten at Pufferbelly just once, and I think I had their strawberry pancakes. They sure were delicious! As for how skinny I am, well, I attribute that to breastfeeding; we'll see what happens when Ariel's weaned!
